Every business goes about deciding on their website differently. While some are very “hands on” and like to provide lots of resources and feedback, others are too busy and prefer to delegate tasks. Either way works for us!
Here are the usual steps to acquiring a new website....

Step 1:

We meet with you for a free consultation session to discuss your unique business requirements and match you with a Blue Eyes Solution.

Step 2:
Provide Website Examples
Average Time: 1 hour
We find it most effective if clients provide us with 3-5 examples of website that you like from both a visual perspective (color schemes, layout, etc.) and from a content perspective (often by looking at their competitors sites) Need Help? In our initial consultation, we can often get a general idea of your visual likes and dislikes and provide some example color schemes to choose from.

Step 3:
Assess Your Competition
Average Time: 30 mins – 1 hour
We like to know who your competition is and if they have a website. We want to make sure your website “kick’s butt” on your competition! Need Help? We can provide a market research professional to help you assess your marketplace and provide feedback on how to stay competitive.

Step 4:
Assess Your “Google” Competition
Average Time: 30 mins - 1 hour
Different from your general competition is your Google Competition. We find if exceptionally helpful to know who comes up in the first page of Google when visitors search for your service. Need Help? We can do some research on your behalf.

Step 5:
Blue Eyes Proposed Solution and Estimated Cost and Timeline
Average Time: 3-7 days
After the steps above have been completed, we should have everything we need to propose a solution for your business that meets your individual needs and budget. An estimate of cost of time required is included.

Step 6:
Acquire a Domain Name and Hosting Account, Temporary Webpage & Email Setup
Average Time: 1-3 days
After project approval, we are ready to acquire a domain name and set up a Hosting Account for you. We will then publish a temporary page for you and set up any email addresses you require.

Step 7:
Design & Development Concept
Average Time: 3-7 days
Now we are ready to put together a concept for you! This is a PDF file and will give you a rough idea of the design concept we have come up with based on the information we have gathered thus far. We appreciate your honest feedback and critiquing of our design. This is an important step in making sure you are happy with the final outcome.

Step 8:
Website Development
Average Time: 1 – 12 weeks (timeline is agreed upon in proposal)
Once the desired changes have been made and an agreed upon design concept is achieved, we are ready to begin developing your website! We are heavily dependent on your business to provide timely information and feedback as we progress.

Step 9:
Critiquing
Average Time: 2 -5 days
We provide a link to your website hosted behind your temporary webpage so the public does not have direct access to it until we are ready to “go live”. We await your critiquing and feedback, make necessary changes, and then are ready to “Go Live”

Step 10:
Publish & Promote Your New Site - SEO
Average Time: 1 day
Once your website is published and made available to the public; we register it with popular search engines like Google and Yahoo so people can find you!
